Amber collaborated with writer and director, Carolyn Defrin, on the final phase of Defrin’s ongoing collective experiment in video projection, miniature set design and live performance. “The Balloon,” tells the story of a pilot and his wife negotiating the appearance and disappearance of their memories after a plane crash tragically separates them. Defrin wrote about her work and process here: ‘Designing Story’
My contributions included assisting Defrin with a few rehearsals, basic dramaturgy during script development, hands on brainstorming, and most notably miniature set building and design in relation to live video feed.
